1930 concentration camp research

Concentration camps are often inaccurately compared to prison in modern society. But concentration camps, unlike prisons, were independent of any judicial review. Nazi concentration camps served three main purposes:

• To incarcerate people whom the Nazi regime perceived to be a security threat. These people were incarcerated for indefinite amounts of time. 
  
• To eliminate individuals and small, targeted groups of individuals by murder, away from the public and judicial review. 
  
• To exploit forced labor of the prisoner population. This purpose grew out of a labor shortage.

People in these concentration camps would have their hair shaven off, a number tattooed on them to identify then, beaten up and torture. Most where either worked to death due to illness or malnourishment. However, some people were gassed to death by the guards. They would be stripped naked and gassed. 

When reserching this time period i watched a film called 'Band of brothers'. Allthouguht this is not a primary sorce when reserching the film the used alot of primary sorcesto crete the film. This was a good way for me to see what makeup for this time period

1. First of all, I will apply 3rd degree to the face along the nose and check to make scratch/ cut marks. 
2. After waiting for them to dry will then apply RC<A powder to these cuts.
3. Then I shall apply foundation to the full face in a lighter shade to make them look ill.  
4. Next apply powder all over the face.
5. I will then add dark contour to the face to make her look malnourished and ill and add highlights to make this more prominent this. 
6. Using eyeliner I will dot on a number models she models arms to create a tattoo. Then apply powder over this to make the shine go away. 
7. Then I will use grease paint in the cuts to bring colour to it, using a spong to create blood and bruside marks around cuts. 
8. Penultimately, I will add thick blood to the cuts to make it look like the cuts aren't too fresh and they hadnt been treated. 
9. Lastly, i will do the hair by putting it in a messy pony tail at the back of the head to be hidden and pull out small amounts. to make it look very messy and un tamed.
